Oversized looks have increased in popularity this past year. Below are some tips on how to pull off the look:

1. Forget the rule of 1 : Go big or go home. Mixing multiple oversized pieces per outfit, I’ve found, make a better look. if you’re styling an oversized sweatshirt and sweatpants, go ahead and put an oversized jacket on top. In this case, the more the better.
2. shop men’s : When shopping for oversized pieces, I recommend checking out the men’s selection. Sometimes what’s available for women that is claimed to be oversized is not. From jackets to t shirts, I purchase a men’s small or xs to get an oversized fit. I would check out Zara, H&M, or ASOS. All three offer on trend pieces at affordable pricing. (if you shopping women’s, order your next size up)
3. Invest in oversized pieces that you can wear multiple ways. A blazer dress works for a night out and you can also layer over jeans and a tee for a causal day look.
